As our mission indicates, safety is one of ACTR's highest priorities. To ensure safety of our passengers, employees, volunteers and the community, ACTR takes the following ongoing measures:
- All staff and volunteers have background checks completed prior to providing any service;
- All staff drivers and dispatchers participate in our random drug and alcohol-testing program;
- All vehicles owned by ACTR are inspected before every shift for safety, and
cleanliness and they have preventative maintenance performed on a regular basis;
- All vehicles owned by volunteer drivers have up-to-date state safety inspections and are required to be kept in a clean and comfortable condition.
We pledge to constantly renew our efforts toward safety and to continuously seek new programs and opportunities to increase system safety.
